How do you go about it?

Let it melt first, then massage. Light the wick and wait until the surface has turned into a liquid layer. Then you pour the wax through the spout onto back, shoulders or legs and spread it with your hands. Pour several small portions rather than one large one.

Which safety rules apply?

A few fixed ones, and they all count. The candle never burns unattended, it is blown out before you apply it, and you test the wax first on the inside of your hand. It does not go on mucous membranes or on the face.

Is “Sweet Almond” the same variety?

Depending on the batch, the tin is labelled one way or the other. The older design without the Ignite name carries Mediterranean Almond, the newer Ignite tin Sweet Almond.

Does it get on with condoms?

No. The melted wax is oily, and oil makes latex condoms unsafe. For sex with a condom you take a gel from water-based lubricant.

What happens to the bedding?

Oil can leave stains. A towel laid underneath protects sheets and covers, and you take residue off the skin with a warm, damp cloth.

Can it also burn just as a candle?

Yes, but then the wax gets used up. If you often light it just to look at, at some point nothing is left for the massage.
