Two things matter: before pouring, check with the back of your hand that the temperature is comfortable, and only let the candle burn until enough wax is liquid - a massage candle is meant to be poured out, not burnt through. Does the wax not get too hot?

Not if you do it right. Massage candles melt at a considerably lower temperature than ordinary candles. Even so: check with the back of your hand first, then pour - and never over irritated skin.

How long does it need to burn?

Only until enough wax is liquid, usually a few minutes. The tin has a pouring lip at the side; once something reaches it, you can put the flame out.

Is the oil suitable as a lubricant?

How long does one tin last?
