The Charisma Mystique by CalExotics is a long massage wand made of dark blue silicone. On a slim handle, above a short, flexible neck, sits a round, pliable head that gives slightly when you rest it on the body. The handle tapers downwards and ends in a rounded tip; spiral ridges run over its whole lower half and give your hand grip. Thanks to the length you can reach your back, shoulders or thighs without contorting yourself, and it is easy to hand over to a partner. Two motors produce twelve vibration functions, operated with two push buttons just below the neck. The silicone is matt and feels velvety. Which lubricant fits?

A water-based one. Silicone-based lubricant can attack the silicone surface and leave it dull. The selection is under water-based lubricant.

How is it charged?

With the enclosed USB cable, which plugs into the side of the handle. For travelling it has a travel lock, so it does not switch on in your bag.

Can it go under water?

Yes. It is waterproof to IPX7 and can handle brief submersion, so the shower and the bath are fine too. Charge it only once the charging port is completely dry again.

How is it best to start?

With the weakest function and next to the most sensitive spot at first rather than directly on it. From there you build up function by function until it feels right.

Can it be used anally or for insertion?

No. The round head is shaped to rest on the body, and there is no flared base for anal play.

How is it cleaned?

With lukewarm water and a sex toy cleaner, including the ridges and the transition between head and neck. Then let it air-dry and store it apart from other silicone toys.
