The Tensek Lux 1 by Jamyjob is an open masturbator with no cup and no housing: a crystal-clear, elongated body with a slightly wavy outline that narrows a little in the middle. On the outside it is covered all round with tiny nubs. Inside, the channel runs straight from one end to the other and is lined along its whole length with closely set, ring-shaped ribs. How does it differ from Lux 2 to 5?

Mainly in shape. Lux 2 consists of three spheres, Lux 3 has a curving channel, Lux 4 and 5 are black and have a grip recess and finger rings respectively. Lux 1 is the clear, straight basic shape with a nubbed outside.

Which lubricant suits it?

A water-based one, and plenty of it. Because the channel is open at both ends, gel runs out, so you top up now and then. Silicone-based lubricant can attack TPE and make it tacky. Suitable ones are under water-based lubricant.

How is it cleaned?

The continuous channel makes it easy: warm water with a little sex toy cleaner flows through from one end to the other and carries gel residue with it. Then let it dry completely in the air.

How do you store it?

Dry, protected from dust and apart from other toys, for example in a pouch. That keeps the clear material clean and stops it picking anything up from other surfaces.

How long does TPE last?

With good care, a long time. TPE is more porous than silicone and forgives moisture less readily. Once the surface turns tacky, cloudy or cracked, a new one is due.
