What does a spiral do differently?

It works sideways. Ribs and bumps set signals along the direction of movement; a spiral pushes across it as well. That gives a turning sensation while guiding straight, for which you have to do nothing yourself. Turning as well reinforces the effect.

Where is the difference to Model 2?

In the interior. Model 1 winds; Model 2 is finely ribbed along its whole length. Measurements, material and design are identical; it is purely about whether you prefer rotation or even texture. Both cost the same and clean the same way.

How much lubricant does it need?

How do I care for it?

Rinse it through from the inside with warm water after every use, work in the turns with toy cleaner and let it dry open, ideally hung up or on its side. A little cornstarch after drying protects the surface from going tacky. Porous TPR belongs stored on its own and not shared, because the surface cannot be cleaned pore-deep. Use water-based lubricant only.
