Why a sphere?

Because it does not tip over in the hand. The shape gives grip from any direction, and the controls sit on top where the thumb rests anyway.

How much lubricant does a masturbator need?

Considerably more than you would think, and only water-based lubricant. Without gel the material drags on the skin; with silicone-based gel the surface turns dull.

How is it cleaned?

Rinse the inside with warm water and mild soap or toy cleaner, then let it dry completely - ideally open on a towel. Moisture left inside is the most common cause of odours.

Why does the material turn sticky?

Because TPE and TPR release oils after drying. A little cornstarch or toy powder absorbs that and keeps the surface silky; talc does not belong on it.
