Why not a closed tube?

Because it targets the frenulum instead of enclosing the whole shaft. That gives a pinpoint stimulus a closed sleeve cannot offer in the same way.

How do you use it?

Place the cradle with the nub against the frenulum below the glans, with the wings gripping the sides of the shaft. Then move it up and down with your hand, or hold it still and let the vibration do the work.
