How loud is a device like this?

Audible. The motor noise is clearly noticeable; in a thin-walled home it is worth considering beforehand.

How is it powered?

Via the USB cable or with four AA batteries. The batteries sit in a holder that goes into the end of the handle; to do this, take off the small cover cap at the end of the handle. If it is not used for a while, take them out so that none of them leaks.

Which lubricant fits?
