The Intimicup by Intimichic is a reusable pink silicone menstrual cup, here in size S. Instead of absorbing the blood like a tampon or pad, it collects it. You fold it, insert it, and inside the vagina it unfolds again. Wash your hands before inserting and before removing it. The rim is deliberately thicker so that it sits securely, and the base is ridged so that you can grip it well and pull it out. There are small holes below the rim. It carries the CE mark and comes in a folding case with a window, with the steps from folding to removing shown as small drawings on its side. It stands under intimate hygiene, under sextoys for women, with the gentle sex toys and in the drugstore section. The sex toy cleaner products in the shop are meant for sex toys, not for the menstrual cup.

Who is size S meant for?

For light to normal flow, for women up to about 25 and for anyone who has not given birth vaginally. That is a rule of thumb; whether it sits comfortably you only find out by wearing it.

How long can it stay in?

Up to twelve hours. If it is full sooner, empty it sooner.

How do I shorten the stem?

With clean scissors, in small steps and only on the stem, never on the body of the cup. It should not stick out of the vagina but still be easy to grip.

Which substances does it not contain?

It contains no latex, BPA, phthalates, PVC or acrylate.

Does lubricant help with inserting?

At the start, a drop can make insertion easier. Use a water-based one, because silicone-based lubricant can attack the surface; suitable ones are under water-based lubricant.

When do I replace it?

If the silicone becomes sticky, cracked or porous or clearly discoloured, get a new one.
