A short cord is attached to it: the harder it is pulled, the more firmly the clamp grips. There is no chain between the two; each can be guided on its own. What do the hard rubber tips do?

They sit more softly than bare metal. The rubber holds the nipple all round without steel edges pressing directly on the skin. The pressure still remains clearly noticeable, as the clover mechanism grips firmly even without pull.

How are they put on?

Start without pull. Squeeze the two wings at the back end of the clamp together, place the opened tips on the nipple and let go slowly. The cord stays slack at first, so the skin can get used to the basic pressure.

How is the cord used?
