What does the display give you?

You can see how long the pump has been running and how strongly it is sucking. The timer helps you keep track of the duration, and the kPa reading and the level let you repeat a setting that felt good. The display does not give a guideline for how much vacuum is right; what counts is what you feel.

What do you need to watch while pumping?

Start on a low level, increase slowly and hold the suction for a few minutes only. Then let air back in and take a break. With pain, numbness, a dark discolouration or blisters, switch off at once and lift the sleeve slightly off the skin with one finger so that air flows in. The testicles stay outside the cylinder, and you never pump on irritated or injured skin.

How does the sleeve seal?

Best on smooth skin with a little lubricant. Trimmed hair at the base and a thin film on the rim close small gaps through which air would otherwise get in. Suitable ones are under water-based lubricant.
