How does the bullet sit on the pump?

In a holder on the band. You wrap the band around the outside of the cylinder; the bullet with its silver tip sits on one side, an elongated control unit on the other. If you only want the suction, simply take the band off again.

How do you release the suction?

Via the release valve. It lets the air back into the cylinder in one go, after which you can take the cylinder off without pulling. Try this once without body contact before the first use.
