What needs doing before switching it on for the first time?

Remove the round paper disc above the batteries. When new, it breaks the contact. Only once it is out does the bullet get power.

Why does a prostate toy need a base?

So that it cannot slip in. The base must be clearly wider than the shaft and always stay outside. On the N°64 the perineum arm and the grip loop do that together; an anal toy without a base like this is not used.

How is it inserted?

Slowly, with plenty of lubricant, most easily lying down. The head points towards the belly and the arm rests on the perineum from outside. Never push against resistance; the sphincter needs time to give way.
