Six and a half centimetres of depth is more than twice that of the shallowest sleeve in this range, and that changes how it sits: it grips the cylinder rim further and therefore stays in place even during movement. What does the greater depth give you?

The sleeve grips the cylinder further and so sits more firmly. If the cylinder tilts while pumping, the seal stays tight where a shallow sleeve would slip. That shows above all when lying down.

How do I clean the inside?

After pulling it off, turn it inside out and rinse both sides. Moisture collects inside over time that would otherwise not dry. Turned inside out it dries in a few hours.

Does more material mean a better seal?

In this case yes, as more surface rests against the cylinder. What still decides is that the inner diameter matches the rim. A sleeve too large will not seal however much material it has.

How do I store it?

Flat and with nothing on top. TPE keeps a dent when pressed for long, and a deformed sleeve no longer seals. An open shelf is therefore better than a full drawer.
