What is the difference between vibration and rotation?

Vibration shakes, rotation turns. The beads in the shaft run in a circle and work at the entrance where most nerves are; the vibration above works deeper. Both run separately and can be set individually.

What does the up-and-down movement do?

It imitates what turning and shaking cannot. The head travels a little forwards and back while the rest stays put; that is a third movement alongside vibration and rotation.
