What is a thrusting function?

The shaft moves a little way back and forth while you hold the device still. That is the movement your hand would otherwise have to make.

What are the nubs and ridges for?

They give the shaft a surface you can feel. As it moves back and forth, smooth and raised areas alternate instead of one even surface gliding along.

Do I have to use both arms at once?
