Is the girth suitable for beginners?

Rather not. Extra thick means exactly that - without experience of girth, start a size slimmer.

Why does the insertable length differ from the total length?

Because the scrotum and base count too. The total length is printed on the box, but only the shaft goes in.

Which skin tones are there?

Natural, light brown and black, depending on the model. All run right through, and the shape stays the same.

Why does the wide base matter?
