You work without knots: the tape is wrapped and laid over itself at the end. Three or four layers are enough for a wrist; more does not make the restraint safer, only stiffer. Where it holds fast when you release it, or when things need to go quickly, cut it open with the scissors rather than tearing at it; they therefore always lie within reach. Does it stick to the skin?

Yes, it has an adhesive side and, unlike self-adhering tape, also sticks to the skin. On hair and sensitive skin it can pull when it comes off, so wrap it over clothing where you can and peel it off slowly and flat along the skin, not with a jerk.

How tightly do you wrap it?

So that two fingers fit between tape and skin. If the hand goes cold, pale or numb it is too tight, and the restrained person often notices late.

How far does one roll go?

Wrists or ankles use up a few metres, a wrap around the upper body considerably more. Keep the roll in your hand while unwinding so that no dust gets onto the adhesive side.

Can it be reused?

A piece that has been peeled off usually no longer sticks reliably, so unwind fresh tape for every tie. Store the roll cool and dry so the adhesive does not go soft.
