The Tactical Hogtie from the Fort Troff range by Doc Johnson is a silicone cross with four galvanised steel D-rings anchored firmly in the silicone and four quick-clip carabiners. Wrist and ankle cuffs clip onto the carabiners, and the silicone gives a little instead of holding rigidly. A hogtie connects hands and feet behind the back, and with that position in particular: only briefly, always supervised and never alone, not even for a moment, and the person has to be able to breathe and move their head freely. Clean the silicone with a sex toy cleaner or mild soap and warm water, then let it dry completely and store it apart from other toys in a cool, dry place. How tightly may the cuffs sit?

So that two fingers fit underneath, and not a millimetre tighter. In a hogtie every movement pulls on all four points at once, so each wrist and ankle is checked again once everything is clipped in. Open them at once if there is numbness, coldness or pale skin.

How quickly can someone be freed?

Quickly: the carabiners open with one hand. In an emergency, unclip one carabiner first so that hands and feet are separated, and keep scissors to hand from the start in case a cuff jams.

What is discussed beforehand?

Limits and a safeword. A safeword is a word that is not part of the play and at which everything stops at once, no questions, no discussion.
