The Sex Machine Adjustable and Automatic by Armony is built in a hand-held format: a housing with a grip drives a rod with a diamond texture that thrusts back and forth automatically. You can guide it by hand or set it on the suction mount, whose adjustable joint fixes the angle; then it works hands-free. The white rod is straight, rounded at the front and covered all over in a raised diamond pattern. At the back end of the housing there is a small display with two buttons, and gold-coloured trim rings set off the edges. You set the depth through your position, not through the device, because the mechanism always travels the same distance. It sits under vibrators, under sextoys for women and in our sex toys section.

What matters the first time?

Set angle and position before switching on, not after. Adjusting while it runs is the most common mistake, and a device that thrusts does not notice when something is wrong.

How much lubricant does it take?

Considerably more than a device without movement, because nothing eases off and nobody tops up. Take a water-based one; the selection is under water-based lubricant.

How is it operated?

Where does the suction mount hold?

On smooth, clean surfaces such as tiles, glass or varnished wood, not on carpet or fabric. Press it on firmly and check the hold, because the thrusting motion pulls at the foot.

Is it loud?

It is not silent. Where something moves mechanically you can hear it, in a thin-walled flat more than elsewhere.

How is it cleaned?

With lukewarm water and a sex toy cleaner, especially around the moving parts. Further models are under sex machines.
