The Tendril Thruster from the Fort Troff range by Doc Johnson is a small thrusting machine in dildo form: the silicone shaft with its black and red tentacle texture moves back and forth by itself. What matters the first time?

Set the position before switching on, not after, and start on the slowest setting. Adjusting while it runs is the most common mistake, and a device that thrusts does not notice when something is wrong. Press the suction cup base onto a smooth, clean surface beforehand so that nothing slips.

How much lubricant does it take?

Considerably more than a device without movement, because nothing eases off and nobody tops up. Take a water-based one, because silicone-based lubricant attacks the silicone surface; the selection is under water-based lubricant.

Is it loud?

It is not silent. Where something runs mechanically you hear it; in a thin-walled flat the lower half of the settings is the usable one.

How is it cleaned?

With lukewarm water and a sex toy cleaner, especially around the moving parts; keep the charging port dry. Further models are under classic vibrators.

How long does the battery last?

One charge lasts around 45 minutes, and charging via USB takes about 90 minutes.

How is it stored?

Dry and protected from dust, ideally in the original box or a fabric pouch and without direct contact with other toys. The remote goes with it; if it lies unused for a long time, take the batteries out.
