Boxer Soul L – solid red with a black waistband 🩲

This boxer from the Soul series comes from Anais Men, a label that deliberately treats men's underwear as lingerie. Soul is solid red; only the waistband is black. The fabric of 80% polyamide and 20% elastane is thin, stretches in every direction and moves with you instead of pulling. The leg lies against the thigh instead of ending at the crease; as long as the size is right, nothing rides up there. The wide waistband with the brand lettering spreads the pull over an area rather than an edge and so cuts in less often. At the front the same applies as with any close-fitting underwear: the pouch should hold without constricting. This version is size L. Every size is a separate article, so you choose it through the product and not in the basket, and many ranges also come as a matching top in the same pattern. Which size fits?

The Anais Men cuts are designed for a close fit. If you are between two sizes or prefer it looser, the larger one is the better choice when in doubt.

How is it washed?

By hand at thirty degrees, without fabric softener, and dried flat. Softener takes the tension out of the elastane, and without tension the boxer no longer fits properly.

Is the boxer one for every day?

It is more underwear for the evening than for everyday. Polyamide with elastane breathes less well than cotton and takes on odour more readily; for a few hours that makes no difference, for a long working day it does. More underwear to combine is under lingerie.

How is it stored?

Lying flat or loosely folded, but not permanently stretched. Elastics go slack when they lie under tension for a long time.

What does the waistband look like?

At the front the white ANAIS lettering sits in the centre between two small lion heads. The back of the waistband also carries the lettering and lion heads.
