Footless or with a stirrup?

With a stirrup. On the product photo a narrow band runs under the sole - it keeps the stocking in place while walking. A genuinely footless stocking ends at the ankle and has nothing under the foot at all.

Do they stay up without suspenders?

The top finish decides: a silicone strip in the band holds by itself, a plain elastic finish holds through tension. What never hurts: the band needs grease-free skin - anyone moisturising first will not wonder for long about slipping stockings.

What does one size mean here?

Leg Avenue lists one size as EU 34 to 40 and plus size as EU 42 to 46. With hosiery the thigh circumference decides above all - that is where the band sits, and that is where it gets uncomfortable if it is too tight.

How do you put them on without ruining them?

Rings off, nails checked, gather the stocking to the heel, place the foot inside and roll the leg up slowly. Never pull on the band - that is where the join tears first.

What do you do when a stitch ladders?

A drop of clear nail varnish at the top and bottom end of the ladder stops it at once. On net you hardly see it, because the pattern is open anyway.

How are they washed?

By hand in cold water or in a laundry net on a delicate cycle, then dried flat. No dryer and no fabric softener - both take the tension out of the yarn, and softener additionally renders any silicone strip useless.

What goes with them?

A suspender belt if the hold is not enough, and a piece from for down there; under for the top you will find what can be worn over them.
