Is the suspender belt really built in?

Yes. The crossed straps are firmly joined to the waistband and the legs, so the lace waistband cannot be worn with other stockings. You put them on in one go like a pair of tights.

What size are they?

They are cut as one size. Sheer nylon gives less than net, and with this cut what matters most is the distance from the lace waistband to the thigh. If it is too short for your build, the straps pull the waistband down.

Do you wear briefs under or over them?

Both work. Under the lace waistband the briefs stay in the background; over it they become part of the look and can be taken off without the suspender tights having to come down. The briefs and shoes in the picture are not included.

How do you put them on without damaging them?

Rings off and nails checked, then gather each leg down to the toe, step in and roll the fabric up bit by bit. Do not pull on the crossed straps; they carry the tension between waistband and leg.

What do you do when a stitch ladders?

A drop of clear nail varnish at the top and bottom end of the ladder stops it. On sheer nylon the spot stays visible, but it does not run any further.

How are they washed?

By hand in cold water with a little mild detergent, then dried flat. Lace catches easily in the machine; if at all, then only in a laundry net on a delicate cycle, without a dryer and without fabric softener.
