Do the oval openings tear further?

Not by themselves: the edges are knitted in and therefore firm, and the bridges between the openings can take movement too.

How is this different from a suspender belt and stockings?

Nothing hangs on clips here, so nothing can come loose or twist while you are out. The stockings cannot be worn on their own, though.

Does one size fit?

It covers roughly EU 34 to 40. The knit gives well in width; it gets tight sooner on a tall frame, when the distance from waistband to thigh is not long enough.

Do you wear briefs underneath?

Usually yes, and under the waistband: that keeps the line smooth and the waistband steady. The thong in the pictures is not included.

How do you get into them without damage?

Take off jewellery and file sharp nail edges. Then bunch each leg down to the heel, put your foot in and smooth the knit upwards bit by bit; finally adjust the waistband, never the straps.

What do you do when a stitch ladders?

A drop of clear nail varnish at both ends stops it at once. In the fine net between the ovals the spot hardly shows afterwards.

How do you care for them?

Most gently by hand and cold; in the machine only in a laundry net on a delicate cycle. Lay them flat to dry, because the dryer and fabric softener weaken the elastane.
