How does the plus size fit?

Wider than the brand’s one size. Sheer nylon stretches less than net and therefore sits close; with this cut what matters most is the distance from the waistband to the thigh. If it is too short for your build, the straps pull the waistband down.

Can the stockings be worn on their own?

No. The legs are fixed to the waistband, and you step into them like a pair of tights. In return nothing shifts out of place, and there are no clips that could come undone.

How sheer is the nylon?

The skin shows through evenly. At the front over the shin the black looks lighter, and darker at the sides of the leg, where you look through the fabric at an angle. That is how the tights trace the shape of the leg.

Do you wear briefs under or over them?

Both work. Under the waistband the briefs stay in the background; over it they become part of the look and can be taken off without the suspender tights having to come down. The shoes in the picture are not included.

How do you put them on without damaging them?

Rings off and nails checked, then gather each leg down to the toe, step in and roll the fabric up bit by bit. Never pull on the straps; they carry all the tension between waistband and leg.

What do you do when a stitch ladders?

A drop of clear nail varnish at the top and bottom end of the ladder stops it. On smooth, sheer nylon the spot stays visible, but it does not get any longer.

How are they washed?

Most gently by hand in cold water, otherwise in a laundry net on a delicate cycle, then dried flat. Leave out the dryer and fabric softener; both harm the fine yarn.
