How do you put on the belt and stockings?

Because the straps connect belt and stockings, you put everything on in one go. Sit down, gather the first stocking down to the heel, slip your foot in and roll the knit slowly up your leg; then do the second. Finally you settle the belt at your waist and straighten the straps.

What does one size mean?

It corresponds roughly to EU dress sizes 34 to 40. The elastane content gives belt and knit some stretch. At the thigh the lace band should sit flat all round without digging in; if it presses noticeably there, the one size does not fit you.

What helps against a ladder?

A drop of clear nail varnish at the top and bottom end of the ladder stops it until you take the stockings off. To keep it from happening in the first place: rings off, nails filed smooth, and take hold of the fine fabric with your fingertips rather than your nails.
