Over or under the briefs?

Both are common. Under the briefs is more practical, because then you do not have to take it off to go to the loo. Over them you see more of the way the straps run - and with this model that is the point.

How do the clips hold?

The top of the stocking goes into the clip and the button is snapped shut - always over the seam, never in the middle of the fine knit. Hold-ups are not required; they stay up by themselves and can still be clipped in.

Why four clips and not six?

Because the band is elastic. Six clips are needed on stiff corset belts that have to spread the pull; a band elastic throughout gives way by itself and holds the stocking just as securely with four points.

Does it work without stockings?

Yes, and many wear it exactly like that: the straps stay as a pattern on the skin and the clips dangle along. Anyone who does not like that hooks them into the leg straps.

Does one size really fit?

Leg Avenue lists one size as EU 34 to 40 and plus size as EU 42 to 46; on top of that the band is elastic throughout. It should sit close without cutting in - where it cuts in, it is sitting too high.

How is it washed?

By hand in cold water, then dried flat. Lurex loses its shine in heat, and the metal clips have no business in a washing drum - they catch on everything that goes round with them.

Stockings in the same look and one piece from for down there or for the top - no more is needed, here the belt is the loud part.
