What sets them apart from the model with a crotch opening?

The hip cut-outs. The sister model in the same range is only open at the crotch and closed at the hips. These, by contrast, look like stockings with a suspender belt but are a single piece without clips.

How does the plus size fit?

Wider than the brand’s one size, at the hips and in the leg. Net also gives a lot in width; the length from waistband to crotch, on the other hand, hardly stretches. On a very tall build the crotch therefore tends to pull down before anything gets tight in width.

Do you wear briefs with them?

That is a matter of taste: worn underneath they stay discreet, worn over the top they become part of the look. Without briefs the tights can stay on during sex. The briefs and shoes in the pictures are not included.

How do you put them on without damaging them?

Rings off and nails checked, then gather each leg down to the toe, step in and roll the fabric up bit by bit. Do not pull on the edges of the cut-outs; that is where most of the tension sits.

What do you do when a stitch ladders?

A drop of clear nail varnish at the top and bottom end of the ladder stops it. In the fine net the spot stays small and is hardly noticeable.

How are they washed?

Most gently by hand in cold water, otherwise in a laundry net on a delicate cycle, then dried flat. Leave out the dryer and fabric softener; both harm the fine yarn.
