How fine are tights at 20 den?

Fine and sheer: den gives the weight of 9,000 metres of yarn in grams, and the smaller the number, the thinner the thread. At 20 den the skin stays clearly visible, with the black lying over it like a veil.

Who is size 3/4 meant for?

How do you align the seam?

Once the tights are on, turn the fabric a little at each calf until the seam runs straight from the back of the knee to the ankle. A mirror shows best whether both lines are parallel.

How do you get them on without a ladder?

Remove jewellery beforehand and make sure your fingernails are smooth. Roll one leg up to the foot, put your toes in and slide the fine fabric up evenly; only once it sits does the second leg follow. Pull the waistband up to your waist at the end.

Best by hand in cool water with a little mild detergent. Afterwards just press them out, do not wring, and leave them to dry flat on a towel.
