The Chic Tulip by CalExotics looks like a small vase or a closed tulip bloom. At the top the body opens into a soft, curved edge; below it becomes narrow and then widens again towards the base. Two motors provide ten vibration speeds and, in addition, a rolling massage motion at the upper edge. Everything is controlled with a single gold-coloured button in the middle, and a hammered, gold-coloured ring frames the base. A memory chip and a travel lock are built in. How do I use the upper edge?

Place it with light pressure on the clitoris or on other sensitive spots and let it rest there. The rolling motion works by itself; you do not have to move the vibrator for it.

What does the memory chip do?

It remembers the speed chosen last, so the vibrator carries on exactly there the next time you switch it on.

Which lubricant fits?

A water-based one. Silicone-based lubricant can attack the silicone surface. A selection is under water-based lubricant.

Where does the charging cable go?

At the side near the bottom of the body, above the gold-coloured ring. Only charge it once it is completely dry after washing.

Is it meant for insertion?

No. It is placed on the outside, and without a flared base as a stop it must not be used anally either.

What is the travel lock for?

It blocks the button so that it does not start by accident in a bag or suitcase and drain the battery.

How do I clean it?

With warm water and a sex toy cleaner, taking particular care at the top edge. Then rinse it, let it air-dry and keep it in a pouch.
