Short and full rather than long and slim: the Intense Shorty from the Remote Control range is about girth, not length. The head is round and thickly set off; below it the shaft narrows and widens again towards the base, creating a clearly wavy line. It also curves slightly forward. At the bottom sits a round suction cup that lets you fix the toy to tiles, glass or varnished wood and use it hands-free. The silicone is matt, the colour a strong blue. It is controlled by a black radio remote with three buttons, and ten vibration modes are available. On the shaft just above the base there is also a button marked with the on/off symbol. It needs no batteries; the built-in battery charges over USB. A water-based gel goes with it, and with this head plenty of it. What does the wavy shaft give you?

What sets it apart from the Victoria?

The shape and the length. The Victoria from the same range is longer, has a sculpted glans and a smooth shaft; the Shorty is shorter, wavy and has a round head. The suction cup and remote are the same on both.

Where does the suction cup hold?

On a smooth, solid surface: tiles, glass, varnished wood. On textile, woodchip wallpaper or open-pored wood it does not hold. A quick test before use saves trouble.

How does the remote work?

The middle button switches it on and off, the top one goes up a level, the bottom one goes back a level. It works by radio, so no line of sight is needed, and when playing together the other person can hold it.

How is it cleaned?

Wipe it with a damp cloth, warm water and a product from the sex toy cleaner category and let it dry in the open. Silicone is non-porous, so nothing settles in it.
