This pair of adapters solves a connection problem: electrodes with a 4 mm push-button stud do not fit the 2 mm pin plugs used by ElectraStim. The adapters simply push onto the end of your existing cable and convert the output. That lets you keep using self-adhesive pads and other electrodes that would otherwise sit unused in a drawer. It works both ways across the range: other brands’ accessories on an ElectraStim device, and ElectraStim pads on an existing cable.

A pair is supplied, one per channel of a dual-channel device. The core is copper, which conducts well, with a plastic shell around it. What do I need the adapters for?

For electrodes with a 4 mm push-button stud, as many makers use. Without an adapter they do not fit an ElectraStim cable; with one they do. That mainly concerns self-adhesive pads, which most often come in this fitting.

Is a stimulator included?

No, these are connectors only. You need a device and cable already, and the adapter sits in between. Stimulators and cables are stocked separately.

Why two of them?

Because a dual-channel device has two outputs, both carrying the same plug type. That way you can convert both channels rather than being limited to one. With a single-channel device the second adapter stays as a spare. A plug connector barely wears, so it lasts as long as the cable itself.

Does the adapter change the intensity?

No, it passes the signal through without regulating anything. You set the intensity on the stimulator as usual, starting from the bottom. Always fit the adapter before switching the device on, never while it is running.
