🔍 Thimble, sleeve or finger vibrator?

The terms get mixed up, but they mean different builds. A thimble ends after the first knuckle – good for pinpoint stimulation, but it slips off more easily. A sleeve goes over the whole finger, sits more securely and is the better choice when something is inserted. The line between them is fluid, and both exist with and without a motor.

For choosing that means: if it is about the clitoris, a thimble is usually enough. For G-spot and prostate, a longer curved sleeve works better, because the finger needs an angle there and nothing may slip.

🧼 Hygiene – the point that really matters here

The skin on your hands is not the problem, your fingernails are. A sleeve sits between nail and mucous membrane and prevents exactly the tiny injuries you barely notice while fingering. That applies especially anally. Short, smoothly filed nails are still mandatory – a thin silicone sleeve is no match for a sharp nail.

After every use the piece goes under lukewarm water with a toy cleaner or mild soap, then dries completely. Important: if you switch between anal and vaginal, switch the sleeve as well – cleaning is not enough for that.

💧 Material and lubricant

Almost everything here is silicone. In practice that means one rule: use water-based lubricant. Silicone-based gel makes the surface dull and sticky over time. For anything that goes deeper, a thick anal gel is the better choice, because thin gel disappears too quickly.
