Toys do not age through use but through storage. Dust, light and contact with other materials do more damage than any evening. Put silicone loose in a drawer and you will find it sticky months later – and that cannot be undone.

🧴 Why toys must not lie against each other

Soft materials react with one another. Silicone against TPE, TPE against PVC: over weeks, plasticisers migrate from one to the other, the surfaces go dull and start to stick. A bag with separate compartments solves exactly that problem – or you put each toy in its own pouch as well.

What goes in it?

Toys, lubricant, cleaner and whatever else belongs to the evening. The practical advantage of a bag is that everything is in one place – nobody has to get up mid-moment and hunt for the lubricant in the bathroom.

How do I care for leather?

Wipe it with a slightly damp cloth and store it dry, not in direct sun and not on a radiator. Leather tolerates neither soaking nor harsh cleaners; for marks, water and patience usually do it.

Do toys have to be dry before they go in?

Absolutely. Residual moisture in a closed bag is the most reliable way to end up with odours and, in the worst case, mould. Clean, dry completely, then put away – in that order.

What should I bear in mind when travelling?

Batteries and rechargeable cells belong in hand luggage, not in the hold. Also watch for a key lock or take the batteries out – a toy that switches itself on at the baggage belt is the classic embarrassing moment.

Leather and silicone – do they get along?

Directly against each other, better not. Tanned leather gives off substances that can attack soft materials over months. If the bag has no separate compartments, put each toy in a cotton pouch as well – it costs nothing and settles the matter.

Big enough that nothing lies squashed, small enough to fit in a drawer. 22 cm covers vibrators and plugs in the usual format; very long dildos need a different solution.

What do I do about odour in the bag?

Air it out rather than perfuming it. An odour almost always comes from a toy that was put away not quite dry – or from a soft material that is breaking down. In the second case only retiring it helps.
