Macho is a Spanish men's underwear label, and at its core it does one thing: jockstraps. Over eighty per cent of the range is jocks – thirteen models, each in S, M, L and XL. Alongside those sit a few shirts, briefs, socks and three eaux de parfum.

A jockstrap is a pouch at the front and just two straps around the buttocks at the back – no seat. Originally sportswear, today mainly a garment meant to be seen.

📐 Sizing

The jockstraps run from S to XL. Worth knowing when you browse: each size is its own listing, not a selectable variant – the same model in S and in L appear as two separate products, with the size at the end of the title.

For fit, the waistband is what counts. It should sit on the hip without cutting in, and the leg straps must not slide, or the jock loses its hold. When in doubt take the larger size – elastane gives, faux leather far less so.

🖤 Material and care

Wash the elastane models gently at 30 degrees, ideally in a laundry bag and without fabric softener, which attacks the stretch. The leather-look pieces do not go in the machine: wipe them with a slightly damp cloth and air dry, never on a radiator. Everything together sits under Lingerie for Men.

What actually is a jockstrap?

A garment with a pouch at the front and a waistband from which two straps run under the buttocks. The back stays bare. It comes from sport, where the pouch was meant to give support – today it is mostly worn because of how it looks.

What size do I need?

Go by your usual underwear size and, in doubt, take one size up. The waistband is the critical part: too tight and it cuts in, too loose and the whole jock slides. On the leather-look models there is less give than on elastane.

Are the leather models real leather?

No. According to the manufacturer's details they are elastic faux leather – 100 per cent synthetic fibre. For a jockstrap that is rather the point: real leather barely stretches, whereas faux leather gives in every direction, which is what makes it comfortable at all.

Can I wear a jockstrap under normal clothes?

Yes. Under jeans it is even less bulky than boxer shorts, because there is no fabric at the back. Under tight, light-coloured trousers the straps do show through.

What about the perfumes?

Macho offers three eaux de parfum at 30 ml each – Alpha, Daddy and Rush. Apply them to pulse points like any perfume, and test a small patch of skin first if you react sensitively to fragrances.
