Aimed at the prostate is the Revo at 9.5 cm, rotating and waterproof. What makes a prostate toy different?
The shape. The prostate sits a few centimetres inside towards the belly, so these models are short and curved forward rather than long and straight. The Revo also rotates instead of only vibrating – that creates a different, circling sensation. Length does not help here, curvature does. See prostate and G-spot dildos.
What should you watch with an inflatable plug?
That it grows inside the body more easily than it shrinks again. Inflate in small steps and only as far as it stays comfortable. The valve should have been tested outside the body beforehand, otherwise you are stuck with an inflated plug. Deflate at once on pain. More in the anal plug guide.
Do you need an anal douche?
Necessary it is not, though many find it reassuring. If you use one, then with lukewarm clear water, little pressure and no more than occasionally – frequent flushing irritates the mucous membrane and upsets the gut flora. A pause belongs between douching and play, so no residual water announces itself. See anal douches.
Which lubricant fits?
A water-based one – silicone-based attacks silicone surfaces, and all four articles are silicone. Anal play needs considerably more gel than vaginal, because the rectum produces no moisture of its own. Rather too much than too little, and top up along the way. How is it cared for?
Warm water with mild soap or a toy cleaner before and after every use, then dry completely. On the inflatable plug the valve is rinsed separately and dried open, otherwise moisture stays in the bellows. Anal toys are stored apart from other toys. More in using anal plugs properly.
