pjur – 113 items, and the base is what decides 💧
pjur from Germany is one of the best-known lubricant brands. 89 of the 113 items are lubricants, plus eleven stimulating gels and sprays, six toy cleaners and a few care products. The decisive difference does not run along the product line but along the base: silicone glides longer but attacks silicone toys. Water suits everything.
The silicone classics ⚠️
The Original is the brand's best-known item and comes in five sizes – as 30 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml and as a one-litre bottle; the 30 ml bottle is additionally on the shelf as a second version. Lighter is the Light at 100 and 250 ml, joined by the Basic Silicone at 100 and 250 ml, the Man Premium at 30, 100 and 250 ml, the med Premium, the Infinity, the Power Premium cream and the Cult for latex – see silicone lubricant.
The water-based lines 🌸
The Aqua comes at 30, 100, 250 and 500 ml; the Basic, the Infinity and the Power Premium cream round off the neutral line. The Aqua Panthenol is on hand at 30, 100 and 250 ml. For her there are the Woman Bodyglide at 30 ml, the Woman Nude at 30 and 100 ml, the Woman Aloe at 30 and 100 ml, the vegan Woman at 30 and 100 ml, the Woman Aqua and the Woman Toy. The med line and Toy Glide 🧪
The med line is designed for sensitive skin: the Natural Glide – also as a 100 ml bottle –, the Sensitive Glide, the Vegan Glide, the Repair Glide and the Soft Glide on a silicone base with jojoba. Made specifically for toys is the Toy Glide, made specifically for latex clothing the Cult Ultra Shine. Anal: analyse me and Back Door 🍑
Two lines cover the anal range. Analyse Me comes water-based at 30, 100 and 250 ml, silicone-based at 30, 100 and 250 ml, plus the Comfort anal lubricant, the intimate gel at 20 ml, the Comfort serum and the Comfort spray. The Back Door line covers the panthenol gel at 30, 100 and 250 ml, the moisturising gel at 30 and 100 ml, the hyaluronic gel at 250 ml, the jojoba gels on a silicone base at 30, 100 and 250 ml as well as the protective serum and the relaxing spray – see anal lubricant.
Stimulating gels, sprays and toy cleaners ⚡
For him there is the Superhero line: the gel with ginkgo at 30 and 100 ml, the Performance spray, the Strong spray, the Ultimate spray, the serum concentrate and the Superhero intimate gel, plus the Man Lust Pleasure gel, the Man Xtend massage cream, the Man Steel massage gel and the med PRO-long spray. For her the Woman Lust vibrating gel at 15 ml and as the Intense variant, the myspray for her and the Myglide with a warming effect at 30 and 100 ml. Silicone or water – which fits when?
Water-based is the safe default: compatible with condoms and with every toy material, easy to wash off, but it does soak in over time. Silicone-based glides considerably longer, is waterproof and therefore usable in the shower – but it attacks silicone toys, whose surface turns sticky over time. A word of caution about the small sachets
In our data the 1.5 ml sachets partly carry the note "water-based" although the name is unmistakably silicone-based – for instance on the Original, the Analyze Me Silicone, the Back Door with jojoba, the med and the med Soft Glide. When in doubt, go by the product name, not by the short note: if "silicone" is in the name, the gel does not belong on a silicone toy. All the other sachets – Aqua Panthenol, Basic Aqua, the med, Woman and Analyze Me sachets as well as the Back Door variants – are water-based.
What are the small sachets for?
For travelling and for trying things out. With a gel you are using for the first time, the sachet is the cheaper way to test whether you tolerate it before a 250 ml bottle stands on the shelf. Note: on some items the title says 1.5 ml while the product name says 5 ml – how much is really inside is on the packaging.
What is Cult and what is it for?
Cult is not a lubricant for the body but for latex clothing: the Cult at 100 ml helps with putting it on, the Ultra Shine at 250 ml brings the shine back. Latex does not like oil or grease – both make the material dull and brittle.
How much lubricant do you need?
Less than most people think, but reapplied more often. pjur is highly concentrated; a few drops are often enough to start. A water-based gel soaks in over time – a few drops of water are usually enough to reactivate it. For anal play the opposite applies: there it may be plentiful from the outset. What should you make of the Superhero sprays?
They are meant to dampen sensation and so make you last longer. For several items in the line it is recorded that they contain no lidocaine and no benzocaine – that is a difference from many other delay sprays. Feeling less still means enjoying less.
