The shop had this article simply as a „silicone-based lubricant with a warming effect“, and the product features said both „made of silicone“ and „water based“ - the two together do not work. The silicone base is the correct one, and that settles what the gel can and cannot do. It does not dry in, holds until it is washed off and is therefore the more comfortable choice for anal use: a lot is needed there, and topping up interrupts. It gets on with condoms, but not with silicone toys - the oil in the gel attacks their surface and dulls it over time. That does not apply to glass, metal and ceramic. The warming effect comes from the formula, not from temperature, and turns out differently from person to person - so start sparingly. Water alone does not take it off again, that needs soap.
