Why does an anal toy need a base?

Because the sphincter pulls inward whatever it can grip, and the rectum has no natural limit. The base stays outside and prevents exactly that. A toy without a base does not belong in anal use.

Which lubricant fits?

A water-based one, and plenty of it, because nothing gets wet by itself anally. Oil and silicone gel attack soft TPR. The selection is under water-based lubricant, thicker ones under anal and fisting lubricant.

How do you start?

With time and in a relaxed position. The sphincter opens by itself when given the chance; pushing achieves the opposite. If it hurts, stop rather than push through.

How is it cleaned?

What should I look out for with TPR?

TPR is a thermoplastic and not quite as dense as silicone. If you share the plug, put a condom over it. Store it on its own and out of sunlight so the surface does not react with other toys.

How do I take it out?

Slowly and by the base, ideally while breathing out. Pulling sharply is uncomfortable, especially at the widest point; a slight twist helps more.
