Neither smooth nor ribbed but twisted: the Trio anal plug by All Black is shaped like a spiral and lays three clear turns around the shaft. Unlike cross ribs they set no hard steps on a straight way in and out; their effect unfolds when you turn the plug slightly while moving. The turns then pass the same spot one after another and give a rolling sensation instead of a sequence of ledges. The shaft stays slim at five centimetres, and a round standing base sits at the bottom as a stop. Seventeen centimetres of height is build height; less is actually used. The TPR is soft and bends along, so the turns flatten a little as they pass. The plug can therefore be guided straight or turned without anything catching. What does a spiral feel like?

Rolling rather than stepped. Pulling straight out you barely notice the turns; turning it, you notice them at once. That is exactly what the shape is made for, and a quarter turn is enough to feel the difference. Repeat the movement slowly and it turns into a rhythm of its own that does not wear off quickly.

Is it harder to insert than a smooth model?

Hardly. The turns are shallow and the shaft stays slim. A little more lubricant still makes sense, because more of it spreads between the turns and turning adds friction.

How do I care for it?
