AQUAglide anal by JoyDivision is a water-based lubricant intended for anal sex. The gel is water-soluble, greaseless, pH-optimised and suitable for condoms; it is made in Germany. Because the bowel produces no lubrication of its own, only a gel like this lets fingers, penis or toy enter without unpleasant friction. After play you rinse it off with warm water; no greasy residue remains. It stands with the anal and fisting lubricant, under water-based lubricant, with the anal sex toys and in the drugstore section.

How do you apply it?

Generously, both to the bottom and to fingers, penis or toy. During play top it up as soon as it feels less slippery. Tips on preparation and positions are in the guide Anal sex.

What about safety?

Pain is a warning signal and must not be masked: go slowly, and stop at once if there is pain or blood. Start with a finger and give the sphincter time before anything larger follows. If you then switch to vaginal sex, use a fresh condom or a washed toy first.

Which toys go with it?

As a water-based gel it gets on with all toy materials, whether silicone, glass, metal or plastic. For the bottom only toys with a flared base come into question, so that nothing slips all the way in.

What if it dries out?

A water-based gel soaks in over time. A few drops of water refresh the layer, or you take a new portion from the tube.

How do you store the tube?

Closed, at room temperature and out of direct sunlight; wipe the opening briefly before closing so that nothing sticks. If the gel turns cloudy or smells different, replace the tube.
