Right up to below the cups. A small bow sits there at the centre, and from it the skirt divides down to the hem; its thin ribbon ends hang down in the opening.

How is the hem cut?

Shorter at the front than at the back. It rises at a slant towards the front edges; only the back reaches all the way to the floor.

How are the cups made?

With a gathered top edge. The black lace is trimmed at the top with a narrow ruffle and joined at the sides to the shoulder sleeves.
