Is the body open at the sides?

Partly. Between bust and arm a strip of skin lies bare on each side; the lace only closes into one piece all round at the waistband.

What can be seen from behind?

Mainly bare back. At the top a narrow band at the nape holds the lace together; below, briefly cut lace knickers cover only part of the bottom. At the back two broad lace wings with scalloped edges fall from the neckband over the shoulder blades, leaving a narrow slit between them.
