The Boxer Chill by Anais Men is a short, close-cut pair of boxers with a palm tree print. On a dark grey ground the palms run in a colour gradient, blue and violet at the top, pink, red and orange further down. The legs end just below the crotch, there is a pouch at the front, and at the back the boxers cover the buttocks completely. The wide black elastic waistband carries the white ANAIS lettering between two lion heads, at the front and at the back. The fabric is 95% polyamide and 5% elastane. It is a fine mesh that is slightly see-through, and the leg openings are trimmed with a narrow black edge. This article is size S. How do the boxers fit?

Close to the body. With 5% elastane the fabric gives, but holds more firmly than underwear with a high stretch content. If the leg rides up as you walk, the boxers are more likely too small than too big; if you are between two sizes, the larger one is the safe choice.

Where does the waistband sit?

It sits on the hips rather than at the waist. Because it is wide, it spreads the pressure over a larger area than a narrow elastic and so cuts in less.

How do you wash it?

Most gently by hand or on a delicate cycle at no more than 30 degrees, without fabric softener and ideally in a laundry bag. Then lay it flat to dry and leave the tumble dryer off.

How does the fabric wear?

Polyamide with elastane is thin, smooth and dries quickly after washing. Man-made fibre absorbs less moisture than cotton, though; for an evening that makes no difference, on a long, warm day you are more likely to notice it.

Is the pattern printed?

Yes, the motif is printed onto the fabric and runs over the whole surface. It stretches as you wear it and so looks a little larger on the body than lying flat.
