The briefs with butt padding by Bye Bra have pads built into the seat. They add a little volume there, on the same principle as a push-up bra, just one storey lower. At the front and sides the briefs lie smooth, with no lace or trim. The cut has a low waist: the waistband sits below the navel, and the leg openings are cut high at the sides. Polyamide with a share of elastane sits close and gives with movement. Try the briefs on before it matters; anything that pinches comes off again after ten minutes. When do I choose the low waist over the high waist?

Under hipsters, low-slung skirts and short tops. The high-waisted model reaches above the navel and would show at the top there, but in return it covers the tummy as well. Material, pads and sizes are the same for both.

Can the pads be taken out?

No. They are built in firmly, and the briefs have no pockets for taking them out or swapping them.

Which size fits?

Your usual size. One size down cuts in and pushes the pads out of position.

How are they washed?

At thirty degrees, without fabric softener, dried flat. Keep them out of the tumble dryer, which takes the tension out of the elastane.

Do they show under clothing?

Waistband and leg openings lie flat, without a wide elastic band. Then there is the colour: beige stands out less than white under light clothing.

How much do they cover at the back?

The whole bottom: the leg openings run just below the cheeks, so it is not a thong cut.

How do I put them on properly?

Pull them up until the waistband sits straight all round, and smooth them out at the back until the pads sit centred on your cheeks.
