How do you put it on?

First open the side buckles. Then lay the shoulder straps over, centre the chest piece and bring the side straps forward to their buckles. Only when everything sits do you readjust the height at the shoulders and tuck the ends into the leather keepers.

What does S/M mean?

Small/Medium. Because leather does not give like an elastic band, the fine adjustment comes from the four buckles alone. The rows of holes leave room in both directions for that.

What applies to safety?

Breathing first. Do not buckle anything so tight that breathing in gets harder; the ribcage needs room to expand, and two fingers must fit under every strap. If it presses at the armpits or the arms tingle, loosen the sides; if you feel short of breath or dizzy, it comes off at once.

What is the D-ring for?

The D-ring below the chest piece is an eye-catcher that follows every movement. It is not fit for tying down, pulling or suspension.

How do you care for the leather?

After every wear run a slightly damp cloth over all straps, then let it dry in the air. Leather care now and then, applied sparingly and well worked in, keeps the leather supple; rub the metal parts dry.
