How are the two colours arranged?

Red is the base: it shows along the top and bottom edges and on the inside. A black overlay sits on top at the front, against which the gold of the fittings stands out particularly clearly.

Is this real leather?

No, it is faux leather based on PU and PVC. The surface is smooth and needs no leather grease.

What are the side D-rings for?

An extra snap hook can be clipped onto them, for example to lead from the side instead of the front. Unhook the leash completely and you wear the collar on its own.

How does play stay safe?

The collar is never used for pulling, choking or suspension. One finger always fits between neck and band, breathing and swallowing stay free.
