What does extra large mean for these condoms?

More width and more length than a standard condom. For the fit, the nominal width counts most, the width of the condom lying flat; the length only tells you how far it can be rolled down.

How can you tell it is too big?

It sits loosely, creases or shifts with movement. Then a narrower nominal width fits better.

How is it rolled on correctly?

Tear the foil open at a corner with your fingers; teeth and scissors can damage the latex. Keep the reservoir at the tip pinched and roll the condom all the way down the erect penis. The rim has to roll outwards; if you have put it on the wrong way round, take a fresh one. After ejaculation, hold the rim while you pull out the still erect penis.

Which lubricant is compatible with latex?

Water- or silicone-based lubricant. Anything oily such as massage oil, petroleum jelly or skin cream breaks the material down, and then it can tear.

What if you are allergic to latex?

Then you must not use them, because a reaction to latex can go as far as anaphylactic shock. Latex-free condoms are the right choice then.

Can you wear two at once?

No. Two condoms rub against each other and tear more easily. Always use just one, each only once, and afterwards put it in the household waste with a knot tied in it.

What do you check before opening?

The expiry date on the foil and the foil itself: if it is torn or no longer plump, take another one. The condoms are stored cool, dry and out of sunlight.

How much protection does a condom give?
