Isis wings by LEG AVENUE: two large fans of pleated gold fabric hanging from shoulder straps that open into a full circle with the arms - hence „360 degrees“. It is the pleating that makes the wings look alive in the light. The attr1 field said „80 % polyester, 20 % elastane“; pleated lamé does not stretch, so what remains is the polyester. How do you put them on?

The straps over the shoulders, the fabric pulled flat at the back, done. The wings are opened with the arms: the higher the hands, the fuller the circle.

How big are they?

The manufacturer gives no measurement, and estimated figures have no place here. The photo shows the span: from hand to hand with the arms raised, reaching about calf height below.

Can you dance in them?

That is what they are made for - the fabric is light and catches every movement. They are nothing for tight spaces though: opened out they need a good two metres all around.

What does 360 degrees mean here?

That the two fans together make a full circle when you raise your arms - closed at the front, closed at the back. Smaller wings only cover a half circle and look flat from the side.

How are they stored?

Folded, the way they arrive, and never ironed. The pleating is heat-set; under a hot iron it is gone and does not come back.

How are they cleaned?

Only wiped down damp and left to air-dry. They do not belong in a washing machine - neither the pleating nor the metallic coating survives it.

Who are they not for?

Anyone who needs their hands free all evening. The wings do hang from the shoulders, but their effect only happens with the arms - anyone holding a glass and a phone wears them folded on the back.

What goes with them?

One plain piece from for the top or for down there and plenty of gold on the face - the wings carry the entrance on their own.
